What we collect, and where it goes

Short version: only what you type into the contact form, it goes straight to Janell's email, and no one else keeps a copy.

The contact form

When you fill out our contact form we collect your name, your email address or phone number, how you'd like us to reply, and your message. That's it. There is no account to create and nothing else is gathered in the background.

Your message is delivered directly to Janell's email inbox and is not stored on this website. We do not use a third-party form service, so no other company keeps a copy of what you wrote.

What we do with it

We use it to reply to you, the way you asked us to. That's the only reason we have it.

We never sell your information, and we never share it with other organizations, advertisers, or mailing lists. We will not add you to any list you didn't ask to join.

The one exception is safety: if we genuinely believe someone is in immediate danger, we may contact emergency services. We would rather you know that up front.

If you're in an unsafe situation

The Quick exit button on our contact page leaves the site immediately. But please know it cannot erase your device's browser history — anyone with access to your phone or computer may still be able to see that you visited.

If that's a risk for you, consider using a private or incognito window, a friend's device, or a public library computer. If you need help right now and it's safe to call, dial 911, 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), or the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233.

This site doesn't track you

We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't set cookies to follow you around the internet. Our web host keeps standard server records for security and reliability, the same as any website.

If that ever changes — for example if we add visitor analytics — we'll say so on this page first.

Children

Our Generation Shift program serves teens aged 13 to 18, and a parent or guardian should be involved when a minor contacts us. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Removing your information

You can ask us to delete anything you've sent, at any time, and you don't have to give a reason. Email jbythewell@gmail.com and we'll remove it and confirm when it's done.
